Honestly, I never knew I could bake until I had my first son in 2012. Fast-forward a year to 2013, and being a single mom in need of more income, I started selling fish and lasagna dinners with cupcakes for dessert. Not knowing exactly what life had in store for me with baking, I kept at it until I had my first break of a client asking, "Can you make me a banana pudding cake?" sure, I said (shrugs)! Not really having a clue but still intrigued by the idea of creating desserts and people actually liking them made me want to see what else I was capable of!

I had my ups and downs; there haven't always been rainbows and there were times I would get discouraged and wanted to throw in the towel, but I'll always look at my boys and continue to strive, especially when I see their faces when I make their birthday cakes And the clients that always look forward to my desserts make me want to see what else I'm capable of. I'm forever grateful for not giving up.
